ABSTRACT |
|
|
Information technology (IT) evaluation has traditionally focussed upon assessing
the financial contribution of an information system, prior to, and then again
after, the systems development process. This paper presents the results of an
extensive survey, which sought to explore how a variety of human, organisational
and economic issues are treated. It is argued that the scope of the traditional
IT evaluation should be extended so that a wider range of human and
organisational issues are addressed proactively and continuously, as part of a
more integrated and well balanced appraisal process. |
