Editorial
Dan Remenyi
It has sometimes been suggested that the topic of information technology
evaluation or the more modern version information and communications
technology (ICT) evaluation has reached a plateau. This notion comes from
the fact that much has been said about this subject over the past decade
or so. Attempts have been made to count the number of books published and
the number of papers which have appeared in academic journals and the
figures mentioned are always very impressive – although they can hardly be
accurate. However despite the volume of research and thinking this topic
has attracted there is still much more to be done.
This edition of EJISE contains 6 papers which address ICT evaluation from
quite different perspectives and which give a useful impression of just
how broad this subject really is.
I hope that you will also find them interesting.
